Our Project

This 264-bed hospital features cutting-edge neurosciences, cardiovascular services, 20 surgical suites and interventional radiology. Innovation defines every aspect: private rooms convert to intensive care unit spaces when needed, while two floors transform into 96-bed respiratory infectious containment units, demonstrating unprecedented pandemic preparedness. The neuroscience program showcases specialized environments, including an operating room/MRI hybrid with moveable real-time imaging and a silent operating room with comprehensive electromagnetic interference shielding for delicate brain procedures. The epilepsy monitoring unit features advanced ventilation systems and centralized observation capabilities. Targeting LEED Platinum certification, the pavilion will exceed Michigan energy codes by 20%. It connects to existing buildings while maintaining the medical campus core near life sciences programs, reinforcing Michigan Medicine's position as a premier academic medical center delivering exceptional care across specialties.
