Our Project
The Crystal Spring Tower consolidates formerly dispersed cardiology services into a 12-story, state-of-the-art facility with a dedicated patient entrance, cardiac and vascular surgery suites, cardiac catheterization/electrophysiology labs, central sterile services and 76 inpatient beds. The tower also includes expanded dietary services and two underground parking levels for 150 vehicles.
Designed to support Carilion’s teaching partnership with Virginia Tech University, the facility incorporates resident and fellow spaces within clinical areas, along with a conference center for education and training. Transitional elevators allow seamless connection to the existing hospital, and the tower is planned for two future vertical expansion floors. A redesigned entry plaza improves wayfinding with dedicated arrivals for the Cardiovascular Institute, emergency department and parking.
